Jim goes bionic

Jim Ashworth-Beaumont has been a fixture at my running events for about 10 years.

Unbeknownst to me we’d used an image of Jim as the headline photo to promote the G3 Series. His grimace and raw athleticism demonstrates the mental strength requiered to endure a G3 run event.

Jim is now drawing on that same strength as he prepares his future with 1 bionic arm, to replace his real arm that was recently ripped off in a road traffic accident. Ironically, although Jim had been providing prosthetic care to people in the NHS for 20 years he can't obtain the technology he needs to get back to his clinical work on the NHS.

I’m asking each and every G3 runner to help fundraise towards Jim’s new bionic arm that costs over £350,000.

The G3 event will be donating £1 per entrant to the cause and I hope everyone can join me and also make a personal donation and smash the target.

Jim has been a G3 runner for many years and we have every confidence in him to maintain and improve on his G3 finish times, with or without a bionic arm.
